You enter a land of turmoil and destruction. The government has taken over, trying to capture every stray dog in sight. They are greedy, filthy, wanting to take over the world. They are using you to get there. As you dodge obstacles, you also are torn between two ideas: be a loner, or join the packs? Hunger and stress eats away at you as you struggle to survive. Others are starving as well, and have lost all hope; laying on the streets, waiting to be captured. As you pad on, growing more tired, more parched....close to death, a human confronts you with a large net. Will you let yourself be captured, or try to survive?

Season Mid-Summer Year 1
The Beach
As it becomes hotter and hotter, the strays are desperate to find any shelter of any kind. The humans, after a bit, decide to stay in their homes more often. Since there is less trash on the beach, there are less prey to eat it. Tropical storms seem to be a thing of the past now and there is less shade from the few coconut trees. Strays regularly dive into the ocean to cool-off and fish a bit. Humans get on their boats more and fish for most of the mud-summer days. Since there is not a very big source of drinkable water near the beach, the strays wander off to Waverly Street and lap up the water on the sides of the streets, under the water fountains, and in empty unused water bottles; if it isn't evaporated first. Dog Catchers are less seen because of their frequent brakes and getting tired to easily.

The City of Tapeste
The hot sun reflects off the rather large buildings and down on the streets, giving the City a few more degrees on the heat. Most people occupy the cold snack areas such as ice-cream, snow cones and lemonade. This is were most strays get their food, at summer stands. Prey also come here, making it a pretty decent food chain. There are many water sources and shaded areas to go around, and it is pretty easy just to hide in the alleyways when things get bad. Dog catchers don't have enough energy to run much, so you can taunt them if you are careful. Temporary amusement parks and circuses pop up in random spots, making it even easier to get food. Overall, The City is the best place to be if you want to relax and have something to eat and drink.

The Forest
There is plenty of shade and water supply for the strays here. However, the prey is a whole lot less than the other areas. The birds migrate to the city, where they can get much better food. That only leaves a few squirrels, rodents, and other small mammals to eat. Later in mid-summer, there aren't much left of all of the species. There are plenty of fish in the river of wonders, but since they are the only species that are there, they tend to be scarce closer to the end of mid-summer. The sun evaporates most of the river, so there is always a chance of Dog Catchers to get through. They hold contests throughout the summer to see who can catch the most strays. Regularly, the strays have to hide in the thicker parts of the forest; so that there is less of a chance to be captured by the humans.

Summer Event::Forest Pack Hunt
Yes, we do need a seperate box for this because the Summer Event is finally here! Now in the email, I have said there are certain prizes you can recieve and here they are:
Whoever posts in the event: Your character can recieve your choice of whatever jewerly you want on your character(up to 5), for free(with a character that has already joined the pack). And yes, this does count for every character in the event.
Whoever makes a character so they can be in the event: Your character can recieve any choice of mutations you want(up to 2), for free. And yes, this does count for every character in the event.
Posting in the event multiple times: You can recieve an extra 10 years onto your character! And yes, this does count for every character in the event.
Now that you understand our prizes, you may have some questions such as: I was on vacation and didn't know about it, I also didn't check my email. Do I still get my prize if I enter it in late? The answer is: Yes, you do. It's ok if your on vacation, because everyone has to sometime.
Wait, since there is more than one region...how is this gonna work? I don't quite understand. Well, they are hunting in each place, finding as much prey as they can. If they were to only hunt in one place, they wouldn't find as much prey.

Yes, we will be introducing more new regions and places to you to hunt in. They will only stay until the event is over, however. Yes, there will be images in these too.
Official Time
This event officially starts at 6:30 pm. I will make the first post then. Hopefully I will see you there! Have fun and you can accept your prizes after the event closes. Sorry, but we don't want you to just accept them and leave and never post in the event again. =] Remember, if you have any questions, comments, suggestions, anything, post them in the problems/suggestions board. Don't worry, this isn't your only day to post. The event closes at the begginning of the End of Summer. Remember, only Alphas may start, stop, and move to differant boards. Humans play area by day; strays bed and hunting area at night. Strays do come here during the day quite often, but only the foolish younger ones that hope to get food from the humans. The sand is soft and white as snow. Seashells can be found down by the edge of the beach. This beach has no particular name, mostley due to the fact that the humans in Tapeste are so simplistic. Most of them seem to call it: 'Down By The Sea'.
The sea glistens as the boats bob up and down. Humans untie them and either fish or just enjoy the salty sea air. At night, the strays enjoy sleeping in the boats, that is, until the owners find them inside. It is a great place to enjoy the sunset, and mothers take their pups there so they learn to respect nature and become calmed by the churning waves of the sea. After all, they do say that the mix of the beautiful sunset and the spectacular sea create a calming feeling that makes you want to just stay out there forever...
Roaring with cars nomatter what time it is, this street scares most strays. Usually they do not cross this, with the fear of being captured by the humans and forced to live in their boring old homes. But, even though it is bustling with cars, prey seem to manage to cross and gather food on it. It is a very narrow, two-lane street, and usually has lots of traffic. The street sign seems like it is about to fall over and has been abused. Gum covers much of it and when the wind blows, the sign wabbles on the metal pole.
Most strays do not make it this far, only because of the cars, the dog catchers, abusive humans, and the fence surrounding it. The humans placed it there in order to prevent all the strays living in the beach to get into the city. There is a hole located northwesr of the Ship Dock(by Waverly Street). There are shops smuthering the open space and strays find it too crowded. A gigantic tower looms over the rest of the city; and that seems to be the government headquarters(if you are really confused right now, I suggest you read the plot). Many have died in the streets of this simple city.
Government men work in this building, handling situations, making the laws, finding ways to get the strays back in the pound. The tower is black and has a point at the top with a light to warn planes not to run into it. It is disguised as company headquarters for a shop down below in main street. The Pound is located inside this building where they perform experiments on strays and turn them into super-human monsters.
One, single, endless neighborhood completes the city. It is usually dark, as if halloween never left the place. People rarely come out; except when they go to buy necessities. It's not the fact that the SGT's can kill them that scares the strays, its more of the fact that they all do the same things, all eat the same food, all live in the same house... Alleys have also been carefully placed behind every house, with the same number of trashcans in every one; placed accordingly. Strays roam here often and enjoy the human trash that they can consume.
A commonplace for forest strays. There is plenty of shade and shelter from the rain. Pups usually frollic and play here, not fearing any human capture whatsoever. The humans, who destroyed the forest years ago, completley forgot it was there, and most strays abide here. It has grown back since then, much bigger and better than it was. An arched entrance can be found directly behind the last house in the neighborhood, but it is only big enough for strays to fit through. It is very thick and seems to go on forever. Many haideaways were found and marked, just incase the humans ever tried to search it.
Many strange things have happened here, and it is the only fresh source of water in the forest. It almost tastes sweet, as if someone was growing sugarcane inside of it. Teeming with possible unexplanible powers, strays always hesitate to drink from it. Although, it does give off a calming vibe, especially for humans who have ever tried to pass the river, they simply collapse into the river, and are drifted far off by the it.
A rather large, wooden clubhouse is located down by the largest tree in the area. It is big enough for all of the forest strays to call home. Since it was found behind the river of wonders, they are completley safe from the humans in their attempts to attack and capture them. It looks as if it has fallen down from one of the branches long ago, and the only thing holding it together are the thick, long vines. The roof is strong enough to withstand any storm(except for a tornado or hurricane) and the walls cannot be eaten by termites. The floor inside is carpeted by a thick layer of lush grass. It is the perfect place to be.
A very wide, open flat land where many bunnies and other small mammals can be found. It is located far away from The Clubhouse, on a path that continues through even thicker forests until you see a big space between two redwoods. The grasses are tall and a deep green color, perfect for hiding prey. There are many rabbitholes, that are dangerous to strays due to the fact that strays could break their ankles by falling into one. Dew, even after the blistering heat of the sun gets more intense every second, continues to shine along the grass stalks, hence the name 'diamondsphere'. Snakes also pose a threat to strays, even though scenting them out is fairly easy. However, avoiding them is a differant story. Surrounding the meadow is an even thicker forest, which is pretty far from any humans and their nets and such.
Once you step into the forest, you cannot see the sky or ground. Trees cover most of the forest, and thick brush, berry bushes, small plants, and thorn bushes cover the rest. It is humid still, even though the trees make it very difficult for the light to get through. Prey are plentiful here, and easy to scent. However, there are many dangers such as snakes, rougue strays, thorns in several places in the pelt(causes discomfort), possibility of breaking a bone, ect. The strays have to be extra careful, and observant. There is a single stream of fresh water near the begginning of the forest, which is the only source of water for miles.
